350 viewsI thought this 15ft Lund Guide Series 315 with 28-horse Evinrude had a lot of fishing potential.

It was a mess and dilapidated so that's why it sold for so cheap and why I was the only bidder.

14 viewsWading the Fox River on Saturday yielded some great fishing. Using a grub on a jig head was driving the fish crazy. Ended up catching 6 large and small mouth bass.

Michigan State Record Muskie Caught126 viewsOn Sunday, September 27, Kyle Anderson of Rapid City, MI caught this 50-pound 8-ounce Great Lakes muskie. The fish is now the new Michigan state record. It beat the old record, set in 1984, by 2.5 pounds. Anderson was fishing in Torch Lake, near Traverse City.

northern fishing27 viewsI was up in St. Germain Wisconsin this past weekend, with a friend of the family who is an avid muskie fisherman, and we happened to hook into one of these mammoths. We were out on his little boat for most of saturday and sunday, about 14 hours of fishing total and we only got one bite and I caught this fish. Patience paid off. I caught it on about a 15 inch sucker as we were casting alongside an island, one of my family friends hotspots for muskie. I caught him in about 35 feet of water, right along a dropfrank

157 viewsThe mounting platform after the initial cuts. A solid piece of aluminum.

This was plan-B as the first and ideal mounting platform was going to be a 15" wide cover over the front end of the casting deck (extending from bow light 15-inches out). The piece of aluminum for that weighed 40lbs so we ditched it and went with this more innovative approach.

149 viewsCasting deck + battery placement. It's strapped down.

The only issue remaining is that an inline fuse needs to be placed in battery, and since Minn-Kota was too stupid to have a longer power cable for their PowerDrive V2 motors, I need to splice some 12-gauge wire and make the cord longer so it can reach the battery.
