New for 2013 from Stankx Bait Company

Fishing-Headquarters has had the privilege of working directly with Stankx Bait Company since its inception in 2009. Already into its fourth year as a tackle manufacturer, we’ve witnessed, influenced, and participated in this company’s transitional growth from exclusively selling basic stickbaits to now producing specialty baits of almost every soft plastic lure category in every color imaginable. Nearing the final year of owner Travis Crosman’s “five year business plan,” this independent tackle manufacturer has put itself in great shape for future business growth, and has proven industry professionals that it is geared for success in the realm of soft plastics for the fishing industry.

article10 Stankx Bait Company has been introducing new products to its lineup on a consistent basis since 2010. The objective is to obviously please its rapidly-growing customer base that can now be found throughout North America. But most important of all, their long term goal is to carve a niche in the bass fishing industry with never before seen product designs as well as custom color combinations.

For the 2013 season, the Kalamazoo, Michigan institution has released a giant 10 inch worm, appropriately named The Villain. In addition, a holdover from 2012 which has steadily gained popularity is a one-of-a-kind handpoured crawfish imitator, 3.75″Hero. Fishing-Headquarters gives you the skinny on both, as they will undoubtedly make it into your arsenal of gear at some point this year.

10″ Villain

We’ve all heard it, sometimes as a joke while other times as a theory. The old saying, “Big bait, Big fish.” Is this belief truly fact or fiction? For starters, a really large lure is more visibly seen by a fish. Common sense will let you figure that one out. Stankx Bait Company customers far away along the West Coast and Southwest near Mexico informed them that this angling axiom is surely a fact for their trophy bass fisheries..

The trophy hunters called and customers made their requests. In November, 2012 Stankx Bait Co. delivered.

Now’s the time to acquaint yourself with the 10″ Villain. The Villain is made with SBC blend medium plastic for strength and durability as it features an outstanding hook strength, while still keeping a supple action to the bait.

Plastic worms in the 10- to 15-inch range have been around for decades, and were first made popular in the American South as the Florida strain Bass fishing took off in the mid 1900’s. Today, however, anglers use them sparingly, most often when they’re looking for record size bass. It’s been proven that big worms catch bass, often after the fish stop hitting other lures. Popularized by the big bait, big bass trend amongst competitive anglers and trophy hunters out West and down South, the Villain is a souped up, super sized edition of its little brother, the 6″ Diamond Tailz worm.

Available in a 6 count bag for $7.49, the Villain is a big bass bait that will change the way you fish for bass. It can be fished in multiple ways on a variety of rigs. Such favorites are Carolina rig, shakey head jig, atop the surface as a topwater snake, and weightless Texas rig to name a few. Stankx Bait Company believes that these big plastics are more versatile than most anglers realize.

Like all of their products, the Villain can be had in original stock colors, as well as in personalized custom variations. Consider ordering these for your big bass adventures for 2013.

3.75″Hero

New from Spring 2012 but made more popular for Winter 2013, the 3.75″ Hero is a versatile craw imitator that will soon set the bass fishing world on fire for its originality and uniqueness. At 3.75″ in length, this craw imitator with oversize flapping arms and flat profile is unlike any other flat bodied crawfish imitating lure available on the market.

It is a one of a kind lure, exclusively designed by Stankx Bait Co. due to many of its unique features that includes the following: Oversize kicker arm radii to maximize bait profile and vibration; A patent pending color matching Stankx Scent Ball technology that releases a scent trail; and a concave rear end that is able to sustain perfect rigging and hook setting power.

Available at 6ct bag for $3.99, the Hero has proven to be a most excellent trailer for flipping and swimming jigs, and to be used by itself with ball head jigs.

If you are looking to expand your tackle selections this season, or interested in trying something new for your bass fishing whether it’s for recreation or competition (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR TOURNAMENTS!) be sure to give these two newest products by Stankx Bait Co. a try. Their uniqueness, originality, and lack of bass conditioning could mean the difference in cashing a tournament check or returning home empty handed.
