Underwater fish photographer, Eric Engbretson, has been a friend of Fishing-Headquarters for the last few years. We’ve been fans of his work for several years now. Yesterday Eric sent us an e-mail about his new underwater video series that can be viewed at his YouTube video channel.

Engbretson, who resides in Florence, WI, and frequently visits my waters of Vilas County to film and photograph fish said, “I’m starting to upload some of the underwater fish movies I’ve taken this year.  I have 6 videos so far, with many more to come.  I’m keeping them short (usually 60-90 seconds each), but they’re high-quality HD Video that look pretty nice.  Each one shows a different fish or fish behavior.  It gives you an idea of the freshwater environments where I do my photography. Something most people don’t see every day.”

YouTube is populated with content of similar subject matter, but Engbretson is making an effort to produce high quality underwater video that’s been shot in ultra clear water, with very tight closeups, and good color and detail. Eric focuses nearly all of his underwater photography on the clearest and cleanest lakes throughout his Northern Wisconsin region.

“I hope you’ll agree that these look more professional than a lot of underwater footage taken in freshwater lakes and rivers that you may have seen before,” he says.
