Fishing Memes…. The Unofficial Best of FHQ

In recent months, social media outlets such as Twitter and Facebook have been blown up by funny pictures that are known as memes. These pictures are often shared amongst users and they typically cater to a specific pop culture event, demographic, or industry. The brighten ones day and make us all laugh. The fishing industry and its circles are no stranger to the internet meme.

memes  plural of meme (Noun)

Noun
  1. An element of a culture or behavior that may be passed from one individual to another by nongenetic means, esp. imitation.
  2. An image, video, etc. that is passed electronically from one Internet user to another.

Memes are an idea that, like a gene, that can replicate and evolve. They are a unit of cultural information that represents a basic idea that can be transferred from one individual to another, and subjected to mutation, crossover and adaptation. A cultural unit (an idea or value or pattern of behavior) that is passed from one generation to another by nongenetic means (as by imitation); memes are the cultural counterpart of genes.
