Andrew Ragas
lives and catches fish from both Illinois
and Wisconsin waters, with the latter
located up north being his most favorite. A
multi-species angler at heart, Andrew enjoys
fishing for Bass, Muskies, Pike, and wading
for river Walleyes. This original FHQ.com
blog features his trip reports and
summaries, and regionally-published fishing
reports for the Chicago Sun-Times and
Heartland Outdoors Magazine. Not only will
Andrew discuss and talk about how to catch
fish and how he does it all, but he will
also cover a wide array of fishing-related
topics such as current news and events
taking place within the world of fishing.

Kenny
Lookingbill joined the crew as a blogger. He
has limited writing and web logging
experience but with our help, he will become
a professional in no time. A student at
Illinois State University who would like to
someday work with the Department of Natural
Resources, Kenny is whom you call a "trophy
hunter". He simply enjoys pond hopping
throughout all of Central and Northern
Illinois in hopes of catching record-breaker
Largemouth Bass and other big fish, wherever
his travels take him to. Let Kenny share his

Fishin' Back East with

Jim Gronaw
Jim Gronaw
of Westminster, Maryland recently joined the
Fishing Headquarters website and its
discussion boards as a new member and
contributor. He then proceeded to drop us a
line and asked for a position to be one of
our writers and bloggers. Without
hesitation, he joined the crew. Jim is a
licensed fishing guide, writer, and
multi-species angler whose passion is
chasing trophy Panfish. What he hopes to
bring to FHQ members and readers is a view
of what is happening on the eastern side of
the United States. He may not have
Salmonoids, Pike, Walleyes, or Musky like we
do, but he does have big Catfish,
major-league Bass, Panfish, and gigantic
Shad and Stripers to catch. In addition to
his fishing, Jim is a contributor for
In-Fisherman, and has been published over
600 times both nationally and regionally
for various publications such as
In-Fisherman, Outdoor Life, Fishing Facts,
and Sports Afield. |

Bryan Blazek
Bryan Blazek, who joined our
website in spring 2010, is an avid Bass
fisherman and student of fishing.
Every day on the water is a learning
experience as he fishes to gain insight into
the behavior and seasonal patterns of the
predatory fish- primarily in the Northern
Illinois region. His favorite species to
catch are Largemouth Bass and Smallmouth
Bass. Mostly you will catch Bryan jigging
for bass in some local ponds, or looking for
action on his many beloved local holes on
the Fox River, near Aurora, Illinois.

Cappy's Pond: Stories from an American
Angler
Kirk B.
Cahill
Kirk is a
longtime follower and supporter of the FHQ
institution. He has spent most of his life
fishing the lakes and ponds of northern
Illinois.While chasing largemouth bass,
bluegill and crappie, with his father Dan,
Kirk learned about life in the great
outdoors and the relationships that are
built there. He frequently visits Canada,
Minnesota, and Wisconsin to fish for
northern pike, musky and other game fish.
Over the last 5 years, Kirk has found a
passion for ice fishing. His blog site
Cappy’s Pond was originally established
in November of 2009, and in October of this
year became part of the Outdoor Blogger
Network. Now in 2011, he moves his online
home to Fishing-Headquarters. |

On the River with the Viver
Roy Vivian
Roy Vivian is a
professional walleye angler who fishes in
the FLW Walleye Tour Eastern Division, and
in AIM and MWC circuits. Originally from
Freeport, IL where he developed a great love
for the outdoors, then residing in Chicago's
suburbs, Roy now resides in Madison,
Wisconsin. It was always his dream to be a
professional fisherman and now he is getting
the opportunity to do so by fishing for
walleyes. Realizing there will be highs and
lows going forward Roy is ready for a great
adventure. |

Boundless Pursuit
David Graham
David Graham,
24, is
an extreme multi-species angler and featured
columnist for Fishing-Headquarters Magazine.
He resides in South Carolina and is an
advocate for multi-species fishing. David is
a 2010 graduate from the Citadel Military
Academy with a degree in Criminal Justice
and presently serves as a sheriff's deputy
in upstate South Carolina. An original
member and friend of the
Fishing-Headquarters since its birth in
2007, Graham's passions are rough and tough
angling with his favorite pursuits being
grass carp, bowfin, longnose and alligator
gar, and virtually all other mean and
cool-looking fish he can tangle with. He
preaches conservation and education for all
misunderstood species of freshwater sport
fish. |

The Suburban Angler
Chris
Loveless
Chris Loveless,
a multi-species angler from Chicago, IL, is
a suburban angler who's specialty is
catching fish from any imaginable body of
water that has fish. Chris enjoys fishing
for bass at the lakes, ponds, and rivers of
Northern Illinois. In addition, he also has
a passion for chasing pike and muskies
throughout the Upper Midwest. As anyone from
Fishing-Headquarters who has fished with
Chris knows that he always has a rod rigged
in order to drop-shot. He can put this
technique to use for hours and it is his
guaranteed way of catching fish. Chris
preaches self-confidence, and will use this
opportunity to keep expanding his knowledge
for fishing and to share his experiences
with others. |
